Unlock Your Potential and Fuel the Growth of Malaysia: 300,000 Highly Skilled Jobs Await in 2025

As Malaysia strives to reach new heights in the 12th Malaysia Plan, a pressing need for 300,000 highly skilled workers has emerged.

“300,000 highly skilled workers are needed by 2025”, said former International Trade and Industry minister Azmin Ali as he highlights the impactful sectors, including electrical and electronics (E&E), automotive, chemicals and advanced material, as well as life sciences and medical technology that will drive the nation forward.

Currently, Malaysia is highly dependent on skilled foreign labours to fill in these vacancies. In a year, the country loses RM 50 billion in salaries paid to these foreign labours. These are salaries that could have been earned or paid to Malaysians if they are qualified.

According to a survey by School of Work Transition Survey (SWTS), the minimum wage for skilled workers ranges from RM3,500 up to RM5,000, which is RM1,500 to RM3,000 more than salaries earned by fresh graduates with conventional Degrees or Diplomas.

The new highly skilled jobs created are accessible to all youth groups, including rural areas, villages, and Orang Asli children. The Malaysian Productivity Corporation (MPC) is dedicated to increasing productivity and competitiveness through this initiative.

Step up and become a catalyst for change in Malaysia. Seize your chance to be part of the solution and make a lasting impact on your country’s future.
