According to the Ministry Of Education, TVET was established to produce a competent workforce with an emphasis on psychomotor skills, industry training and practical components.

Recently Minister Of Higher Education Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled Bin Nordin mentioned that TVET graduates have demonstrated strong marketability, outperforming graduates from academic courses with both courses exceeding a 90 per cent rate.
“More students are aware that vocational and technical education not only provide them with useful skills in the employment sector, but it also gives them the opportunity to get a lucrative salary,” said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi with regard to the rising enrollment in TVET programmes this year.
It is clear that the road to success in the corporate world is no longer paved by university degrees and diplomas. The popularity of TVET has shown that the standards of vocational and technical education are becoming parallel to formal education.
